The focus of gratitude is so"powerful" in releasing stress...Ask yourself, "Do I see the glass half full, or half empty?" Feeling satisfied brings simple joy to the heart!
Many times we get stuck in patterns of thinking, we are distracted in our daily life and routines and negativity can creep in and take over. It is our attitude in general and our willingness to shift and change that makes all the difference!
Be grateful for what you do have... that will always make you feel like you have more. If you focus only on what you don’t have…you will never feel like you have enough...you will never feel fully satisfied.
You may look at others as if they have more than you, or you find that you may seek goals and dreams thinking the outside world is not giving you what you desire.
Remember even the people who have it all...can be dis-satisfied and feel they are missing something.
When we hold dear to our heart what is really important...we see joy in simple pleasures and even if we have challenges they seem to bring us the lesson we need to learn to enrich our lives!
Filling our day with the ATTITUDE OF GRATITIDE...saying thank you silently and to those who are there for us...and all we do have will brighten our world!
Being the best we can be... is all
about self discovery!
We hear this alot through life, about...doing our best, getting motivated and creating goals and dreams, to be our best...but for many reasons it just is not the easiest thing to do!
While we are so busy "living life" and all it throws at us, we sometimes... or most of the time, can feel overwhelmed or even helpless.
Yes, this is true that we have uncertainty from one day to the next and the distractions can be relentless, after all, we have to work, or go to school, raise a family, do the shopping, and pull the weeds,.....and then we want to have a little fun of course. The problem occurs when our life gets out of balance.
Maybe we feel exhausted because we give too much of our energy at random or unstructured time, on one hand we feel controlled by circumstances and our committments to other people, leaving us feeling unproductive. How can we take charge of our life and be our best?
So what does it mean to be our best,When we feel our best is always just around the corner? It is as if we just can't seem to get there, for whatever the reason.
one practice to gain more balance is getting centered and quiet. It is the first step in gaining a sense of control over what ever is going on in your inner world or your outer world.
Mind chatter are the mental thoughts that we run in our heads, minute to minute day after day, and sometimes its as if the chatter has a life of its own, I call this "monkey mind.
its when our thoughts seem to jump all over the place, unruly and untamed. Our thoughts create emotions, its like our "monkey mind" is taking us on a wild and sometimes exhausting ride, especially if we are not aware of this. So being aware to catch ourselves and finding a moment to stay quiet is the first step to tame the monkey mind thoughts!
If we are truly going to practice self-awareness as a self discipline, then we may have to work at it a bit to remind ourselves and this may take some creative reminding, like post it notes, with affirmations or wearing a special bracelet what ever works for you to encourage any new habit.
Meditation is a practice to let it all go and focus on "nothing"... or a beautiful guided meditation to take us to a place of inner peace and joy... this has great benefits for our mind and body connection, and a well deserved rest!
Being with nature, go outdoors and find places to relax, take in the beautiful surroundings.
Being our best does not always mean doing something great or extaordinary, just the opposite, it means just being in touch with our inner process, being in touch with our authenticity, knowing who we really are and what we really want, making choices that bring the outcome we desire and deserve!
when we can see with clairty, we are at peace and feel balanced, it is then that we are serving our highest good and therefore everything seems to fall in place!
This is a huge step in self discovery... Being at our best self is taking charge of self and directing your energy in a positive way. Creating the life you want!
Using "POWERFUL AFFIRMATIONS"
to Create Change!
Our self-talk is the dialogue we have with ourselves! We can talk ourselves into being a success...or a failure. Catch yourself the next time you are saying "I always have the bad luck" or "I have so much stress in my life, I am always a nervous wreck"...when you notice you are telling yourself a negative message, FLIP THAT THOUGHT to a positive.
It is a scientific fact that the mind body connection is directly inter-connected. Our thoughts effect our feelings and emotions. We have the power when we practice awareness, to take control of our levels of stress and feelings. Think of it this way...remember what happens when someone tells you an amazing story and you get goose bumps on your skin? It is an automatic reaction. This is what is happening when we have many of our thoughts. It produces a feeling...or a string of thoughts!!
Negative stressful thoughts create chemical reactions of the neurotransmitters in the brain and releases the stress hormones like adrenaline or cortisol. Habitual negative thinking can have a direct effect on our health. Cardio, resperation, anxiety reactions and in the long run, Dis-ease in the body systems.
On the other hand if we are mindful to "SHIFT OR FLIP THAT THOUGHT" to a positive, pleasant or relaxing thoughts or mind images... we will release the feel good hormones like endorphines or seretonin, for a better benefit for mind. body and spirit!
Practice framing your desires for change with a powerful statement using affirmations that start with I Am...or I Will... this will call attention to the conscious mind. Repetition is also so powerful to hear the sound of your own voice and the body will also listen and respond.
Test this yourself...practice some of the affirmations in the pic above and see how saying them with emotion and firm belief makes you feel!!
